Research Articles
Paper submitted to this journal must contain a comprehensive introductory section and an in-depth discussion section. The scientific importance and motivations of the paper and its conclusions should be made clear at the outset. Furthermore, the paper must be presented in a way that its main results, methods together with their applicability, can be comprehended by people from a wide range of scientific fields. Papers oriented toward experimentation or numerical simulation must have a novel and sound theoretical explanation.
Survey Articles and Mini-reviews
In addition to reporting original research, the journal will publish authoritative survey articles of specific topics written by leading researchers in the field to keep you informed about the latest advances in the fields of mathematical biosciences and bioengineering. To ensure balanced views, mini-reviews on selected papers appearing in the journal will be published from time to time.
Speedy Publication and Internet Accessibility
The journal is committed to a rapid yet rigorous reviewing processes to ensure fast access to latest research results of significance in the fields of mathematical biosciences and bioengineering. We will try our best to publish manuscripts, on average, within five months of submission. The journal will maintain a Web site containing all print volumes and other important and additional materials.
 
MBE is indexed by SCI-E, MEDLINE, CompuMath Citation and MathSciNet. It has an impact factor of 1.13 in 2008.
MBE is a joint journal of AIMS and Beihang University, sponsored by CLAS of ASU.
