Proposals for Dedicated Theme Issues

How to submit an issue proposal
DCDS-S publishes collections of articles forming either dedicated Theme Issues or the collection of selected papers from focused high quality international meeting/workshop. This page explains how to submit a proposal to publish an issue of the journal.

Proposals for dedicated Theme Issues
Proposals for Theme Issues are welcomed for consideration by the Editorial Committee, and a Theme Proposal Form is available from the Editorial Office. Please note that most proposed authors must have agreed to contribute before we can consider a Theme proposal.

Once a proposal has been approved, the Theme Organizers will usually contact the contributors to communicate to them a submission deadline agreed with the Editorial Committee. Authors should submit their papers via email directly to the Theme Organizers by this date, and the Theme Organizers will manage the review process for these papers. The Theme Organizers are then responsible for communicating any necessary revisions to the authors, and for supplying finalized copy to the Editorial Office by the finalization deadline agreed with the Editorial Office.

Theme organizers may wish to consider our Theme Issue Guideline for suggestions on how a Theme Issue should be constructed.

Proposals for Meeting Issues

Proposals for Meeting Issues should be communicated to the Editorial Committee.  Meeting Issues Guideline should be consulted.

Articles should be submitted to the Editorial Office by an agreed upon deadline. The Editorial Office will then pass on the articles to the Meeting Organizers, who will manage the review process for these articles. The Organizers are then responsible for communicating any necessary revisions to the authors, and for supplying finalized copy to the Editorial Office by the finalization deadline agreed with the Editorial Office.

Meeting organizers may wish to consider our Theme Issue Guideline for suggestions on how a Theme Issue should be constructed, which may have some relevance for a Meeting issue.
