Kinetic and Related Models (KRM)

Guide for Editors

General purpose

KRM journal aims at promoting the further development of this promising scientific field by providing an exchange platform for researchers who are working in theoretical and applied sciences where kinetic theory and its methods play an increasingly significant role. As indicated by the name, besides a focus on models related to kinetic theory, the journal targets a wide range of areas spanned by mathematical theory, numerical analysis, simulations and modelling of phenomena arising from physics, engineering, finance, biology, human and social sciences, together with their related fields such as fluid models, interacting particle systems and quantum systems.


Reviewing procedure

Each paper will be either assigned by the EiC to an Associate Editor or will be received and handled by an Associate Editor. The AE will (usually) find two referees, which will be contacted directly from KRM with the request of a report within the usual time of two months (unless differently specified). Based on the received reports, the AE will provide the EiC with a final assessment of paper quality and recommendation (accept, minor revision, major revision, reject). KRM will then communicate the final decision to author(s).
