Introduction:
The special session will highlight recent advances in mathematical analysis of partial differential equations and differential difference equations with applications to the physics of Bose-Einstein condensates, DNA modeling, and other physical contexts. Analysis of the continuous and discrete nonlinear Schrodinger equations is the main subject of recent studies with a particular emphasis on existence and dynamics of localized modes in these equations. The special session will bring together both specialists in mathematical analysis of nonlinear waves and applied researchers with interests in numerical simulations. |
